The Brogden Cup International Field Lacrosse
Canada/Ontario vs. USA/Maryland
The 2007 Brogden Cup lacrosse series between Maryland and Ontario teams was played in Baltimore, Maryland U.S.A June 15, 2007 through Sunday, June 17, 2007. Team Ontario won the series and the coveted Brogden Cup.
Game One: Ontario 15 Maryland 8 Game Two: Ontario 14 Maryland 12 Game Three: Ontario 15 Maryland 11
This was the fourth time that the competition was between U-19 teams from Maryland and Ontario. These two areas are considered the lacrosse hubs for their respective countries. Originally, club lacrosse teams competed for this award to represent the "North American Championship".
The Brodgen Cup is dedicated to the memory of H. McCulloh "Mac" Brogden. He attended Johns Hopkins University where he played goalie. He as a member of the 1932 Team, which represented the United States in the Olympics held in Los Angeles, California. Later, he played and served as equipment manager for the Mount Washington Lacrosse Club. This challenge cup series was established to give others the opportunity to derive the same pleasures he received from participating in the sport of lacrosse.
